Discussing a parcel sent by Macrone to Thompson [containing copies of Sketches by Boz] as well as letters of importance, which has not yet arrived, and asking Macrone to sort it out. Noting that Dickens is "sorry to trouble [Macrone], but it is such an awkward situation for [Dickens] that [he has] not alternative." With a postscript asking for additional copies of the book.
